Watermelon Cubes with Red Apple Balsamic Vinegar FeatureHere’s an appetizer or dessert that can’t get any easier and you can make it ahead and drizzle the balsamic at the table.  You may have seen these refreshing treats served like this before but some recipes call for reducing the balsamic on the stovetop to thicken it.  High quality balsamics are already thick and let’s face it, you can use just about any flavor here – from fruity to savory.  Put all the bottles in the middle of the table and let your guests choose!

DIRECTIONS

Cut watermelon into cubesCut watermelon into 2-inch square cubes.  You could get creative and do triangles or circles too!

 

Use melon baller on cubesUsing a melon baller, make well in the center of the cube.

 

Pour balsamic in melon cubeDrizzle your favorite dark balsamic into each cube (or serve the cubes empty and let your guests do it at the table).

 

Prepared melon cubes with balsamicGarnish with a mint leaf and serve.
